Last night was the Awards presentation night for the 2019 Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition. City Rural Insurance is the Major Event Partner for this event, now in its 25th year.

Congratulations to the 2019 winner Eleanor Amor.
Eleanor Amor is an emerging artist based in Adelaide, South Australia. Her practice revolves around relationships of support, absence and language. Through the use of sculpture, assemblage and installation her practice aims to materialise senses of disconnection and concurrence.
Eleanor Amor graduated from The University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Contemporary Art (2018). She has exhibited at FELTspace, Format Systems Inc and Liverpool Street Gallery. Previously the Gallery Director of Format Systems Inc, Eleanor Amor has curated shows at both Format Gallery and Light Square Gallery.
The Helpmann Academy is the only organisation of its kind in Australia. They empower South Australia’s most promising emerging creatives to realise their visions and build sustainable practices. They provide professional development opportunities including grants and awards, fellowships, mentorships, masterclasses and seminars, advisory services and international artist residencies, all tailored specifically for South Australia’s higher education students, graduates and emerging artists.
